Melissa Radcliff named Executive Director of Our Children's Place

Chapel Hill, NC July, 2007) Melissa Radcliff, former Executive Director at the Family Violence Prevention Center (FVPC) of Orange County and Interim Executive Director for Our Children's Place since February 2007, has recently been appointed the Executive Director at Our Children's Place, a facility currently being planned to allow children to live with their mothers in a community-based residential facility while the women serve their sentences for nonviolent offenses.

Melissa has extensive experience in crisis intervention, support and advocacy with women's programs. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bryant University in Rhode Island, she administered programs with the RI Human Resource Investment Council and Rhode Islanders for a Drug-Free Community.

Following those positions, she became a volunteer coordinator and victim advocate for domestic violence and crime victims' services programs in Rhode Island and Arizona. Melissa joined FVPC in 2001 as the Community Services Coordinator, becoming Interim Executive Director in 2004 and Executive Director in 2005.
